This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Better Than College LLC (“BTC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Pennsylvania limited liability company and wholly owned subsidiary of Automation Transformation Corporation (a Delaware S-Corporation), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information obtained through the website at betterthancollege.com (the “Website”), the application process, and participation in the Better Than College program (the “Program”).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including but not limited to: full legal name; date of birth and age verification; mailing address, city, state, and zip code; email address and phone number; educational background and highest level of education completed; employment history and professional experience; areas of interest and career goals; application essays and personal statements; payment and billing information; emergency contact information; and any other information you choose to provide.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including: IP address and approximate geographic location; browser type, version, and language settings; operating system and device type; device identifiers and mobile advertising IDs; referring and exit URLs; pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on pages; date, time, and frequency of visits; and interaction data such as scroll depth, form interactions, and click patterns.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including: payment processors (transaction confirmation, billing address, last four digits of payment method); analytics and advertising partners (Google Analytics, etc.); social media platforms; publicly available sources; and references or recommendations provided by third parties.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: evaluating and processing applications and admissions decisions; administering the Program, including cohort assignments, scheduling, and logistics; processing payments, maintaining financial records, and managing billing; communicating with you about the Program, events, and updates; personalizing your experience and improving the Website and Program; marketing, advertising, and promotional activities; analytics and research to improve our offerings; complying with legal obligations; and protecting our rights and preventing fraud.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 Within Our Corporate Family
We share your information with Automation Transformation Corporation (our Parent Company) and any current or future affiliates, subsidiaries, or related entities for purposes consistent with this Policy.
3.2 Service Providers
We share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including: payment processors (e.g., Stripe); email and communication platforms; web hosting and cloud infrastructure providers; analytics and advertising platforms; customer relationship management tools; and scheduling and event management platforms.
3.3 Cohort Participants, Mentors, and Coaches
Certain information -including your name, photograph, business concept summary, city of residence, and professional background -may be shared with other participants in your cohort, program mentors, coaches, instructors, and guest speakers to facilitate the collaborative, cohort-based nature of the Program.
3.4 Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes; enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; protect the rights, property, or safety of BTC, our users, or the public; and detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
3.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, dissolution, or asset sale involving BTC or Automation Transformation Corporation, your information may be among the assets transferred. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any such change.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, local storage, and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with the Website. These technologies help us analyze website traffic, personalize content, serve targeted advertisements, and measure marketing effectiveness. 5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business records. Application data for non-admitted applicants is retained for up to three (3) years. Enrolled Participant data is retained for the duration of the Program and up to seven (7) years thereafter for legal and tax compliance purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Website and Program are designed exclusively for individuals aged eighteen (18) and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of eighteen (18) or children under the age of thirteen (13). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will promptly delete that information.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to: access and obtain a copy of your personal information; correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your personal information; restrict or object to the processing of your information; data portability; and opt out of marketing communications. 9. State-Specific Privacy Rights
9.1 California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold; the right to delete personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
9.2 Other State Privacy Laws
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states) may have similar rights under their respective state laws. We will comply with applicable state privacy laws.
10. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, the Website does not currently respond to DNT signals.
11. International Users
The Website and Program are operated from the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your personal information in the United States.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to betterthancollege.com with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Website or participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
